More than 34,000 shops across North America use PartsTech to search for and order aftermarket parts, tires, fluids, and shop supplies every day, all in one lookup. That’s why PartsTech recently rolled out some updates that reflect a commitment to evolving with the needs of today’s shops. Here are six PartsTech updates from the first half of 2026 that change how shops build a repair order, all based on shop feedback.
1. A Redesigned Cart

A PartsTech cart now can surface more information with fewer clicks. A new review view expands the cart into a single, scannable snapshot of every item, supplier, price, and delivery estimate before checkout. Plus, shops can select a delivery method for each item, including in-store pickup when available, message a store directly, and add a PO number, all from the same screen.
Shops can now also set a preferred delivery method for a supplier, and PartsTech will apply it automatically on future orders. In total, this creates a checkout process that requires less toggling between screens and gives shops a clearer picture of exactly what they’re ordering and when it will arrive, before they even click submit.
2. An Orders Page Built for Status Tracking

Once an order is submitted, shops can now track it in more detail. Order status shows exactly where a part is in the fulfillment and delivery process instead of a generic “processing” label. Supplier phone numbers are also now listed directly on the order and order details include supplier notes and bundle discounts applied at checkout. This means a shop can pull up delivery status or a supplier’s contact number in seconds, without searching a separate system or hunting for a phone number.
3. A Faster Catalog Search Experience

When a part doesn’t turn up right away in a standard search, PartsTech’s catalog search is where shops go to dig deeper, and it’s now easier to use. PartsTech’s catalog search moved to a more prominent spot on the search screen and added two new ways to find hard-to-locate parts:
- See all buying options shows every connected supplier carrying a specific part in one view
- Verify buying options checks additional suppliers for parts that don’t surface in the standard results
Part number interchanges are also built in, so a search for one part number can surface equivalent parts from other manufacturers. Together, these changes reduce dead-end searches and supplier-by-supplier checking that used to come with tracking down a hard-to-find or backordered part.
4. Custom Jobs

Beyond PartsTech’s library of more than 20 pre-built jobs, shops on the PartsTech Plus plan can now build and save their own jobs. A shop that runs the same repair combination repeatedly, like a quick lube package for a specific make and model, can create a custom job once, name it, and add the exact parts it should include.
From then on, pulling up that job queues every part in the list automatically, the same way PartsTech’s pre-built jobs and diagrams currently do. This turns repeatable work into a one-click search instead of a re-typed parts list every time.
5. Good-Better-Best Tire Quoting

Staying with PartsTech Plus, shops can now build a three-tier tire comparison (good, better, best) directly in PartsTech. This includes installation fees, tire specs, and any rebate or warranty information. The quote can be shared with a customer by text, email, or printed copy, and each tier can be rearranged or swapped before sending. Shops using this feature report closing tire sales at a higher rate, since customers can compare options and make an informed decision without back-and-forth phone calls or a return trip to the shop.
6. Early Integration Between PartsTech and RepairLink

Finally, we are excited to share that PartsTech is in the early stages of integrating with RepairLink! This means shops will soon be able to search for OE parts alongside aftermarket parts, tires, and fluids in the same lookup on PartsTech. Most of the dealers shops already work with on RepairLink will also be searchable on PartsTech. This rollout is planned for the second half of 2026, with more detail expected to come later.
