June 2022 System Updates & News

This June we’ve added several new suppliers, onboarded a new management system, and made it easier to search and order parts & tires on PartsTech. Read more to catch up on the latest from PartsTech.

System Updates:

Smarter Part Number Searches

You do not need to have a vehicle selected to search by part number on PartsTech, but if you do have a vehicle selected, PartsTech will display a note for products that fit the vehicle on the result screen. This helps you double-check that the parts on the screen will fit the vehicle on the lift during part number searches.

User Management Has Moved Into The My Shop Settings

The “Users” menu has been moved into the My Shop section. To access user management and permissions click on the My Shop icon in the left menu and then click on the “Users” tab (highlighted in red.)

You Can Now Add Notes To Tire Comparison Quotes

You can now add notes to the tires on a comparison quote. These notes will be visible to the customer via the link or on the quote printout. This makes it easy for you to call out any specific features of a certain tire. It also gives you the opportunity to mention any discounts, sales, or promotions.

Edit Retail Price and Quantity For Tire Comparison Quotes

You can now manually edit the retail price and quantity for tire options on the fly, directly from the quote screen. Hover over the tires you wish to edit, and click the pencil icon (highlighted in red.) Then, you’ll see the menu below where you can override the unit price and the quantity for tires on your quote. Click done, and the pricing will update on the quote.

Add a RO# or a Customer Name to Save a Tire Comparison Quote

The “Copy Link” button now gives you the option to add an RO# or the customer’s name so you can reference that quote at a later date. To add an RO#, click on the “Share with customer” button on the top right-hand corner of the tire quote screen. Then, click on “Copy Link” and a window will appear giving you the opportunity to add and save an RO#.

Printed Tire Comparison Quotes Will Now Include a QR Code For Rebate Information

Printed tire quotes will now display a QR code which will link to further rebate information for that product. Customers can learn more about that rebate by scanning these QR codes with the camera app on their phone.

TRW Will Now Display FedEx Same City Shipping When Available

When adding tires from TRW to your cart, you may now see FedEx Same City as a delivery option in the expanded cart. This option will be listed as “FSC” with the estimated shipping cost for that order.
